Our Commitment to the Environment

environmental

Midtronics maintains ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Standard certifications. And that’s only the beginning of our commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability.

We have established and follow stringent policies to reduce, reuse and recycle waste throughout the company. All new Midtronics products are lead-free and comply with the European Union’s Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive.

We also work closely with the world’s leading battery manufacturers to help them conform to environmental health and safety regulations and support comprehensive battery recycling programs.

Still, the best way to minimize the environmental impact of lead-acid batteries is keep every battery in service—and out of the recycler or the landfill—as long as possible. At Midtronics, that’s part of what advancing battery management is all about.
